My life has been shaped by extremes: piloting CV-22 and MC-130 counter-terrorism missions under the cover of darkness, leading mountaineering expeditions up wild peaks across the globe, and tenderly holding those facing deep loss. I’ve navigated both literal and inner wilderness, and each trip has taught me that the most vital journeys are the ones that lead us back to our true Self—to the wild truths of who we really are and how we belong. It’s there, in the edgy, undiscovered spaces where world-changing magic resides…let’s go find your's together.
Through Resilient Belonging, I offer the kind of guidance I once needed: honest, embodied, experiential. I work with people and organizations who are ready to face all their facets, to feel what’s been avoided, and to step into a more brilliant song line.

As much as my thinking mind tried, I couldn’t break out of habits and thoughts that were holding me back from my best self and deepest longings. With my nervous system fried from Special Operations flying and near-death outdoor experiences, not to mention an armored heart keeping true intimacy at bay, I knew it was time to summon all my courage and head off onto the greatest, most difficult adventure of my life: the descent into my emotional body, my shadows, my wounds, my protective habits — in search of my uncaged self, rightful belonging and soulful purpose.
I turned to wilderness immersions, ecopsychology, dreamwork, grief practices, myth and Soulcraft. With the guidance of wise elders, I explored the terrain of human development and grief. I trained with wily mentors and guides who helped me remember what I’d always known: I belonged here, fully, unabashedly. And so do you.
My service to you as guide and mirror was born from that passage (and a never-ending hunger to learn more). It continues to evolve each day and with every person I serve.
Credentials
I bring over two decades of professional leadership, mentoring and guiding experience shaped by distinguished military service, global expeditions to harsh regions, and a deep study in nature-based human development.
I served as Director of Experiential Education at the U.S. Air Force Academy, led the first U.S. team to climb the highest point on each continent, and directed two non-profits delivering world-wide adventures connecting families to remote, wild spaces.
I have spent seven years studying and training with the Animas Valley Institute, grounding my work in soul-centered, ecological approaches to human development.
I am also a nationally recognized keynote speaker, presenting to audiences across the corporate, educational, defense, aviation, and outdoor industries.
Plus, I have a wily penchant for crafting paradigm shifting, playful-yet-challenging, approaches to team and individual development… all with the gleam of a trickster’s eye for what’s going on below the surface.
Embodied work…
-
This isn’t abstract philosophy or spiritual platitudes. It’s actionable, embodied practices that leave people changed; not just inspired, but better equipped. My goal is to offer stories, skills, and frameworks that move people forward with curiosity and courage. I don’t have the answers, but I do carry questions and practices that will help you and your people discover your own particular way forward.
