Resilient Belonging
At Resilient Belonging, I guide individuals, communities and organizations through experiential practices that strengthen resilience (emotional, physical, mental, social, spiritual), awaken soulful purpose and rekindle a sense of belonging - to self, others and the more-than-human world.
Through hands-on practices, speaking and nature-based education, I help people remember belonging, especially in times of challenge, change or deep inner questioning.

I’m Rob
Guide, educator, and speaker devoted to helping people rediscover their wholeness and innate belonging in a fragmented world. My work is shaped by decades of global adventure, military leadership, and a deep study of human development and soul work.
I’ve faced risk, loss, and dark nights of the soul in order to return with my purpose: to shepherd others through their own initiatory paths towards an unshakeable sense of Belonging- regardless of how difficult your inner and outer terrain may be.

Impact

He shares his own compelling story stretching across powerful mentors, personal challenges, achievements, and tragic loss. While Rob's story is inspiring, it is the vulnerability he shares while describing his own path through struggle to resilience that resonates. He effectively incorporates his expertise in human wellness all the while pointing his audience to research and sources that they can explore on their own. It is hard not to be impressed by the experiences Rob describes from the Air Force and in the Mountains, yet the most powerful aspect of Rob's message is that the inner struggles we all share are the most important challenges that we will face. Rob provides students and parents with creative approachable methods to seek personal limits and transcend them. We are always a work in progress.”

He's great at authentically meeting people where they are at and facilitating conversations about topics like risk management, leadership, innovation, communication, and character development - all while making it fun and engaging for the participants. Rob is also one of the most visionary facilitators I've worked with, constantly generating ideas to engage participants in new and creative ways.”

His ability to create safe spaces for people to reconnect with themselves, find clarity, and build resilience is unmatched. Whether leading a rugged mountain hike or facilitating deep conversations by a campfire, Rob embodies the philosophy of “born to belong.” He helps people not just find their place in the wild, but also their place within themselves and their communities.
If you’re seeking a guide who understands the intersection of leadership, mental health, and the power of nature, Rob is the real deal. His retreats and programs offer a fresh perspective on how we can thrive personally and professionally, rooted in belonging, courage, and purpose.”

Who We Are
-
We uphold honor, integrity, and respect—not only toward one another, but toward the more-than-human world. We model right relationship with all beings.
-
We believe people learn best by doing. Our spaces prioritize lived experience, somatic engagement, and trying out ideas in real time, not just talking about them.
-
We embrace all identities and experiences, with care for the wounds of disconnection caused by systems and society. We resist cookie-cutter solutions and meet people where they are.
-
Wonder is a fuel for transformation. We approach ourselves, each other, and the world with open inquiry rather than rigid belief.
-
Human development is not always solemn - it’s often playful, fun, and imbued with mythic magic. We celebrate and grow from the unexpected.
-
Growth begins at the edge. We embrace healthy discomfort as a doorway to resilience, not a sign of failure or weakness.
-
We honor the deep truth that all life is woven together. Healing or developing one part of the web strengthens the whole.
-
We attune to the voices of the Earth and its dreams. She teaches in both encounters as well as patterns, archetypes, and mystery- revealing our soulful path.
Fire Light - Stories of Resilience
-
Healing into wholeness and seeking true purpose aren't linear. They happen through challenge, being tracked/witnessed, and courageously exploring that which we fear. Whether you’re facing burnout, grief, big questions, or a hunger for a more meaningful life—I offer grounded, creative, and soul-rooted support.
